We are thrilled to share some exciting news that will make a lasting impact on our outreach efforts in the community. Bridgeways has received a generous $40,000 donation from the Harnish Foundation, which will fund the purchase of a new vehicle dedicated to our outreach services and court programs.
The Harnish Foundation was established by the Harnish family, who have operated a multi-generational family business since 1929. Rooted in a strong commitment to giving back, the Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that empower individuals to take initiative in improving their own well-being. Their mission is best captured by the proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” The foundation supports nonprofit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest that are focused on community well-being, education, and health. Their investment in local solutions continues to uplift lives, and we are honored to be among the organizations they support.

Bridgeways PATH and Therapeutic Court Programs

The PATH program at Bridgeways provides outreach and case management services for individuals in Snohomish County who are experiencing homelessness and living with serious mental health challenges. Our PATH team meets people where they are—on the streets, in encampments, or in temporary shelters—with the goal of building trust and connecting them to housing, mental health services, and other vital resources.
Separately, Bridgeways’ therapeutic courts program targets those exiting jail facilities within Snohomish County that are in need of case management and care coordination services. These are adults living within Snohomish County that have a need for housing, employment, and other essential services.
How the Vehicle Will Be Used

The new vehicle funded by the Harnish Foundation will allow our outreach and therapeutic courts teams to travel safely and efficiently throughout the county, bringing much-needed resources and support directly to individuals in need. For the PATH program, this means reaching people experiencing homelessness with hygiene kits, warm clothing, non-perishable food, and a safe, dignified space for consultations or respite from the weather.
For the therapeutic courts program, the vehicle will enable us to provide transportation for individuals recently released from jail to essential services, including medical and mental health appointments, housing assessments, and employment resources.
Most importantly, this vehicle allows us to approach individuals with compassion and dignity—ensuring that every interaction communicates respect and hope. Reliable transportation is essential to effectively reaching our most vulnerable neighbors, and thanks to the Harnish Foundation, we now have a tool that will help us extend our impact and deepen our connections.
A Step Toward Dignity and Stability
At Bridgeways, we believe that everyone deserves access to resources and care that honors their humanity. This vehicle isn’t just a mode of transportation—it’s a bridge to trust, stability, and change.
We are incredibly grateful to the Harnish Foundation for recognizing the importance of this work and partnering with us to make it possible.
Thank you, Harnish Foundation, for helping us drive change—one mile, one conversation, and one life at a time.
