This program works with AJAC in order to provide our current workforce the opportunity to skill-up and grow in their professional careers. This is a 2-year program that works with Everett Community College to give enrollees both in-class and on-the-job training.
At no cost to the employee, program participants receive a chromebook and tutoring support to complete six (6) quarters or classes at Everett Community College. The participant also receives a quarterly support stipend.
The AJAC program caters to individuals presently engaged in the Bridgeways workforce, providing them with opportunities for further development and advancement within their current roles. Secondly, the program welcomes those who aspire to enhance their skill sets and foster growth in their professional careers, offering them a platform to upskill and realize their career ambitions. Through its dual focus, the AJAC program addresses the needs of both those already employed within Bridgeways and those eager to progress in their chosen careers.
The apprenticeship program is in partnership with Everett Community College, while Bridgeways facilitates the on-the-job training. The enrollees pay nothing for tuiton, half being supplemented by AJAC while the other is supplemented by Bridgeways. All other remaining costs, which include books and other expenses, are covered by Bridgeways.
The program serves 3-8 individuals annually. The program participants will receive a nationally recognized certificate. An apprenticeship, “Award of Completion,” certifies that an individual has been trained in all aspects of an occupation and has met the requirements for program completion. The certificate is issued by the Washington State Labor and Industries Division and is a industry-wide recognized indicator of high quality, standardized training. In addition to obtaining journey-level certification as a master tradesperson, AJAC’s unique program also sets the apprentice on a path towards an associate’s degree that can also be put towards a four-year degree.
