SSSE is identical to our Supported Employment Program in terms of services provided and program goals. However, SSSE is a pilot program designed to provide supportive employment services to individual who might otherwise fall through the cracks. SSSE is a partnership with the City of Everett’s Safe Streets Program, and prioritizes referrals from certain community partners
Often, SSSE clients are not currently engaged in mental health services, or treatment for substance use disorders. They might be experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
Our team partners with clients to help them overcome challenges to employment. Finding and retaining a job in the community is the goal!
Supports include:
- Vocational assessment
- Resume assistance
- Interview skills and practice
- Searching for job postings
- Assistance with applications
- Benefits counseling
- Job retention support
- Problem-solve issues that come up on the job
Who is Eligible
Adults living with a mental health concern (a diagnosis is not required), who do have Medicaid, or meet Medicaid eligibility, and who live in the City of Everett.
How to Apply
Primary referral sources are other City of Everett “Safe Streets” programs such as Work Crew, the Everett Police Department’s Community Outreach and Enforcement Team (COET) or the Chronic-Utilizer Alternative Response Team (CHART).
